Adam Sandler Tees Up in First Trailer for Netflix’s Happy Gilmore 2

After nearly three decades, Happy Gilmore is stepping back onto the golf course.

Netflix has unveiled the first teaser trailer for Happy Gilmore 2, the highly anticipated sequel to Adam Sandler’s 1996 comedy classic.

Gilmore’s Return to the Game
In the original film, Happy Gilmore (Sandler), a hot-tempered former hockey player, shocked the golf world by defeating pro Shooter McGavin (Christopher McDonald) in a major tournament. Now, after years away from the game, Gilmore is making a comeback.

“I haven’t swung a club in years,” he admits in the trailer, gearing up for another shot at golf glory.

“We’re not done with golf,” says Virginia Venit (Julie Bowen), urging him to rediscover the magic that made him a sensation.

Star-Studded Cameos
The sequel is packed with guest appearances, featuring sports and entertainment heavyweights like Travis Kelce, Bad Bunny, Eminem, and Ben Stiller (who may reprise his infamous role as “Hal” from the original film).

Adding to the authenticity, real-life golf stars Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau also make appearances. Their involvement was facilitated by Pro Shop Studios, which co-produced the film to ensure a realistic portrayal of the sport.

“Adam wanted the golf to feel real while keeping the Happy Gilmore energy,” Pro Shop founder Chad Mumm told The Hollywood Reporter. “He brought in a mix of present-day and historical pro golfers to add authenticity and fun.”

Release Date
Happy Gilmore 2 premieres exclusively on Netflix on July 25. Get ready for a wild ride as Happy takes another swing at the game he never quite played by the rules.
